We are all grieving the loss of this beautiful angel on earth. When I first heard that she had passed, I immediately thought of her love for butterflies and how she now had angel wings. First a quick sketch, then a watercolor version followed by some digital editing (I am not a portrait artist), and Saint Dolly of Rhinestones and Rainbows was born.
I’ve never been one to get swept up in pop culture or the loss of a celebrity, but Dolly was different. She embodied so much love, kindness, generosity, and sparkle. It is a comment on her goodness how everyone talks about what an amazing person she was, as opposed to all of her entertainment successes (though those are vast and varied as well!).
Originally painted with watercolor on paper and enhanced digitally, this archival print is locally and professionally printed on 8x10 heavy linen paper with Erika Roberts Studio logo printed on the back. Each print arrives enclosed in a protective cellophane sleeve. Pairs well with other coordinating art and gifts!
